Could the Annual Flu Shot Become Thing of the Past?

Needle-phobes may have a new reason to rejoice. Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, discussed with USA today how  a long acting ‘universal flu vaccine‘  is on the horizon. Until then, the annual influenza vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older–especially those with asthma and other underlying lung conditions.
