Food Allergy Safe Recipes for Kids

allergy patient questionnaire

By Dr. Lupoli

As parents, we know that our kids can be notoriously picky eaters. Add a food allergy (or multiple food allergies) to the equation and it’s easy to get caught in a dietary rut with very little variety. One the most rewarding aspects of my job is helping families and  kids with food allergies  live more abundant and healthy lives despite of their condition! The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) is a wonderful and credible organization created by a mother of a food allergic child in the 1990’s. It has become an empowering resource for those with food allergies and we encourage our patients and parents of food allergic children to visit their website at www.foodallergy.org. The FAAN website has a clever recipe search tool that allows you to select your child’s food allergies and it then finds recipes that are free of those particular allergens. When you visit www.foodallergy.org/recipes you’ll find new ways to make egg  or milk-free desserts/snacks,  as well as  new ideas for allergy-free breakfasts, lunches and dinners for our ‘picky’ eaters.
